An Interview With Larry Sue

While at the Redding Handbell Festival in Redding, California, this past weekend Bryce had the chance to interview the one and only Larry Sue.  Larry Sue is a handbell composer/clinician most well known on the west coast.  Here are some of the highlights of the interview:

“I rang with Dave “Ritter” for 16 years, and later on got into the Bay Bells, and somewhere in the process of that we started the Low Ding Zone, which is the worlds first bass only handbell ensemble.”

“The most non-traditional thing I’m doing right now is with my wife Carla.  We’re doing 8 bell duets and trying to get stuff that stretches the envelope more than some of the 8 bell music which has been around a while.”

“We are starting to take the 8 bell duets and starting to sell them.”

You can find Larry Sue’s music of 8 bells on his website, and you can follow the adventures of him and his wife on their Facebook page.
