Lenten Physics

As a rule of thumb, I try not to post videos of my home group performing so that I don’t show a bias, but we have been working on a new piece for Lent composed by Larry Sue that I have to show off.  “Lenten Piece” by Larry Sue (for sale now on his website) is a beautiful, flowing piece that is perfect for this season.  I am particularly proud of the trick we added to the beginning of the piece; by taking advantage of the physics of how bells produce sound we can take the whole notes and turn them into moving swells. Check it out:

Also, this is the first time I’ve tried filming our group with multiple camera angles.  Most of the video on this was filmed on phones, proving that it is not too hard to produce of good recording of your group!
