From my years playing bells in church growing up, there was one piece that has stayed with me. This arrangement of “It Came Upon A Midnight Clear” by Arnold Sherman captivated me in a way no other piece back then did. Maybe it was the beautiful opening in hemiola or the tolling of the tower bells. But what ever it was, this arrangement stuck with me.

Bells of the Sound takes this piece to a whole new level. Rocking a full 7 octaves of bells, the tower bell section comes at you like a two ton church bell. Plus, they added silver melody bells to the beginning and end to really give the piece some shape. It’s a beautiful performance of a beautiful piece.

What will we bring on the 10th day of advent? Tune in tomorrow to find out.
